Prairie House Plans

Prairie style architecture is a midwestern style that has characteristics of strong geometry, brick or stucco, open concept floor plans, and sparing ornamental detailing. This style of house plan often has a low pitch roof and resembles the plains.  There is a lot more emphasis on horizontal lines that run along with the exterior elements of the home. The prairie style is most similar to the modern style with its low roof pitches and long rows of windows.
